So so sad to hear of the passing of my wonderful friend and mentor, Sr. Thecla. I joined her in St. Louis P. S. Middletown as a newly qualified teacher in 1980 and spent four very happy years learning from 'The Touch of the Master's Hand.' She was an outstanding teacher and principal who embraced and promoted Catholic Education in its truest sense - the children always being first and foremost the key priority in her daily practice. She had an exemplary vision for each and every girl fortunate enough to be educated within the ethos of St. Louis. I will miss her in the times ahead as she made me what I am. Ní bheidh a leithéid arís inti.
