I first met her as a 12 yr old 6th grade student. The summer prior we weren’t sure our school would reopen. Our pastor traveled to Ireland and recruited Ursula with three others. She taught us French, Old Testament, and so much more. She has been an important “influencer” ever since. She possessed the rare quality of toughness married with Love. She was part of every celebration: births, graduations, baptisms, confirmations & weddings for three generations of my family. She touched so many in this world. She gave us her life. Thank God for sending her to us. She is deeply Loved. Now she will help us from heaven.

You were always 'Auntie Nun' to us. I used to love the cool American t shirts you got for us, the ice cream sundaes and watching you loose control of the dog on his lead, pulled hither and thither, it was comedy gold! Even though I never saw first hand the great work you did for the American education system, I really admire you and I'm am sure you touched the lives of many young Americans. A great legacy and a lovely person.
We spent an enjoyable time with Sr Ursula in San Diego in July 1998, and have remained in contact since, Her kindness and hospitality will be always remembered, She made a lasting impression on our family, may she Rest In Peace.
Dear "Auntie Nun", you have touched the hearts of so many people during your life. You will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
