Sr. Ursula Ryan

I’m very sorry to have missed Sr. Ursula’s funeral as I was abroad. She was a kind, gentle and empathetic person and gave me wonderful support when I worked in the Primary school. My deepest sympathies to the Presentation Community and her family. May she rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences to all the Ryan family, Presentation Community in Thurles, Kimmage and Hospital, Co. Limerick on the sad passing of your beloved Sr. Ursula. She was a lovely teacher who had a big welcome for our children on their first days at school in Junior Infants. We have fond memories of her for her kindness and gentleness. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Sr Ursula was a kind & gentle lady. She was my teacher in Junior Infants (or Low Babies as it was called back in the day!!). I'd say she had about 40 of us (boys & girls) many screaming the school down for the first few weeks!! The Wendy House in her room kept me amused! She was child-centred way before it became best practice. May she rest in peace 🤍

So sorry to hear of Sr. Ursula's passing. She was my first teacher in Presentation in Terenure over 50 years ago, and I still smile when I think of how lovely, gentle and encouraging she was. I hope she knew what a good start she gave to so many of us.

She was a shining example of what a nun and a teacher should be. Kind and caring. My memory is that all the children loved her
