Sr.Enda O'Toole

Sr Enda, my first teacher in Our Ladys when I joined in Kindergarden II. She had such a bright welcoming smile, a love of reading which she encouraged in all and a lady who never forgot her former pupil's name. Sincere condolences to the Community and to her family. RIP

I was sad to hear of the passing of Sr Enda. I have very happy memories of my time at Our Lady’s Junior School and our banin cream blazers and we were so proud to attend the school. The wonderful nuns, Sr Enda, Sr Cara Nagle, Sr Rosemary Magnier, and Sr Margaret and all of the community, were some of the nicest people you could meet, and still to this day, they have great connections with past pupils. On behalf of the class of 1988, my sincere condolences to all of the RCE community. May Sr. Enda be resting peacefully.

I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of Sister Enda who taught me in Kindergarten Two, before I moved on to Terenure College. I have very fond memories of my early years in OLS, a wonderful school, and in particular of Sister Enda. She had a lovely smile reflecting her kind, warm and gentle manner. All the children loved her. I know that she will be sadly missed.

I was very saddened to hear of Sr.Enda's passing. She was my first teacher in OLS when I joined kindergarten II and I had the pleasure of knowing her all the way through to sixth year. She was always a steady and kind presence. Herself and Mrs.Harley left a lasting impression on me and have left a beautiful legacy in all those they taught across the years.

Thank you to all that cared for Sr.Enda over the last many years.

Condolences to all the Sisters of Our Ladys School Terenure and all the O Toole family on the passing of Sr Enda RIP I taught along side Sr Enda for many years and we were very good friends.

I was so very sorry to hear of Sr Enda’s passing. She was a true and loyal colleague to my dear mother Nanette during their many years together in Our Lady’s Junior School, Terenure. Over that time, they formed a close and warm friendship that meant so much to them both, rooted in their mutual love of all things Irish, especially the West of Ireland!

Sr Enda leaves behind an extraordinary legacy as a teacher who made a profound difference in the lives of so many past pupils. Her dedication, kindness and quiet strength will never be forgotten by those who had the privilege of being taught by her or working alongside her. She will be forever remembered in all our hearts and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her wonderful baking and great sense of humor will live on in our memories.

Please accept my sincere condolences to her family, Sr Cara and all her RCE community, who cared for her with such compassion and love. May she rest in peace.

To our dear Sisters of Christian Education, I offer you my prayers and sympathy on the death of our dear Sister Enda. What a wonderful Sister! She was a treat to care for, so appreciative of every little deed done for her. She had the lovely of gift of humour and shared such joy with all of us. I am remembering her long life friend Kathleen who I know will miss her dearly and not forgetting Elizabeth in Maryfield. Remembering them and all her companions in the Nursing Home with love and affection. Your Sunday visits to the little group were so touching and encouraging to the rest of us! Never a Sunday missed, you came at the same time around 2pm. Thank you for showing such love and care which helped nor just the community but all in the Nursing Home. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Sister Enda.  She always had a warm welcome, a kind word and even in later years, that twinkle in her eye that showed her great sense of fun never faded.  

People like Enda leave a great gap behind them.  I am grateful for the special bond she shared with auntie Kathleen.  With only days between their births and both from the West of Ireland, they had a friendship that lasted a lifetime and was lovely to witness.
