My deepest sympathy to the Marist Sisters and the O'Reilly Family on the death of Sr Leo. I only recently came across a photo of her in a friend's house in Kerry where she was pictured with her music class in Sundrive Road taken during the 70's. She looked like one of the girls and hadn't changed very much when I met her about 10 years ago. I will always remember her as a lovely kind person who was very fond of all her cousins, especially the Murtaghs and Doyles. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Sincere sympathy to the Marist Sisters and to the Moyne, Longford and American O'Reilly families
following the passing of Sr.Leo, Grasta De uirthi. She is the latest in a quite unique band of strong Colmcille parish women who have taken the Marist veil since Sr.Lawrence Columb(1850-1935) from Aughamore Upper joined the order a century and a half ago. She was followed by her niece, Sr.Calasanctius Murtagh (1917 - 2009) , Sr.Geraldine Treacy (1914-1998) and the three Hourican sisters from Rathmore Cross, Srs. Austin (1873-1949), Hildegarde ( 1882 - 1960) and Brigid (1880-1950). The way was well prepared for Sister Leo, may she rest in peace.

My sincere sympathies to the O'Reilly family and the Marist Sister community on Sr Leo's passing. I have such fond memories of her during my visits to the Sisters in Tubbercurry. May she Rest in Peace.

Sheila was one of my best friends in the early 50s in Marist School Tubbercurry. Our friendship continued for many years afterwards.
