I would like to pass on my heartfelt sympathies to all who mourn the sad loss of Sr Magdalen, especially her convent community. I’m so so sorry to have missed her funeral… we all, the Harrington family, in Granfeen, Kilbrittain had a very special ‘grá’ for Sr Magdalen. She was such a good friend to us all & especially to our most beloved aunt, Sr Dominic whom was like a 2nd mother to us & so very dear to us, especially during those few very difficult years for our family…… we always met Sr Magdalen on our very frequent visits to Sr Dominic. These meet-ups were always filled with lovely stories, laughter, simple fun and lots of wisdom, they both listened to our ‘woes’ also…… more often than not, we never got beyond the kitchen, enjoying ‘a cuppa with delicious home baked currant cake, butter & jam’…. what very special memories to have & never to be forgotten. We’d often reminisce about those times & how lucky we were to have such wonderful, saintly people in our lives. We missed our dear auntie, Sr Dominic, so much from our lives, we know that she went to God & she still minds us to this day. They are both back together again, in God’s arms…. Thinking of you all. May Sr Magdalen’s gentle soul rest in peace…. 🌹🕊️

So sad to hear of St. Magdalen’s passing. What a welcome she gave to all visitors to the convent. Tea, coffee and homemade goodies. To her family and the Presentation Sisters our Sincere Condolences. We were very sorry to hear of Sr Magdalen's passing. She was always a standout charachter on our visits to the convent, our deepest condolences to all the sisters of Convent Hill and the Ring family.

My sincere condolences to all who mourn the passing of Sr Magdalen. I have spoken many times over the years of her wonderful kindness to me as a young apprentice carpenter while I was working on a building job in the Convent in the sixties.
