Sr.Rosarii Treacy

On behalf of the Focolare Movement in Ireland I wish to send our sincere condolences to all the Sisters of her Convent and her family. Sr Rosarii often came to our summer gatherings and partecipated in local "Word of Life" meetings when she lived in her previous Convent. Thanking God for her wonderful life dedicated to God and to the service of all she came into contact with. May she Rest in Peace!

My sympathies to Sister Rosarii's family.
I was boarder in Clonmel in the 1960s. I am 78 years old now so she must have been very young teaching us domestic science and biology. Appel tarts - her veil caught alight and I was the one who slapped it out! Hot weather one time and she raised her head and she had an awful red mark along her forehead and never complained, I was so glad when nuns were allowed to wear "civvies". At my age we never knew that nuns had family names, also at my age now, we can remember and I think she loved being a nun when others did not
My name was Dorcas Tonge now Ryan, two "children" in their early 50's and 3 grandchildren and nobody living in Ireland.
Fond memories of Sister Rosarii. RIP.

We were all very sad to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend St.Rosarii, she was an amazing person to have in your life, she has touched the hearts of us all, with her warm smile and her gentle handshake, I will treasure all the moments that were spent with St.Rosarii & my grandmother Aine Mulhall in Kilkenny. When she returned to Fethard in retirement she was a familiar sight taking a walk along the Main street stopping regularly for chats. She always loved the chat. May she rest in peace.

We were both assigned on the island of Negros for many years. I used call in to the Sisters' Convent in Himamaylan on the way back to my parish. Sr Rosarii was always so welcoming and encouraging - kindness personified. She even visited me in that mountain parish travelling by a rocky road. She was so supportive and affirming. I remember one time dropping in to her convent in December and coming away with a delicious home made Christmas pudding. Happy memories! Thank you Rosarii. May you now rest in peace.

I was very sad to hear of Kitty’s (Sr. Rosarii) death. We were great friends over the years and she always kept contact through her letters. She loved her native Commonaline ! I offer my sincere sympathy to the Presentation Sisters and to her beloved nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was such a kind motherly figure to those children. We were delighted when she returned to Fethard in later years. She always had a smile and a kind gentle word for everyone she met. May she now rest in the peace she so richly deserves.
