Alan, Avril, Rachel and all your family; condolences to you all on your loss.
Deepest sympathy Kara at this very sad time. May your Dad rest in peace.
Kara and Alan,
It was wonderful to be able to join in to Stan's celebration of life on Youtube from the United States and to hear all the tributes paid to one of life's true gentlemen.
It was always a pleasure to be in Stan's company and undoubtedly his passing is being felt across his many circles of family, friends, and former colleagues.
We send our love and sympathies to the entire Browning and Manning families.
Requiescat in pace,
Brian, Amy, Andrea and David Manning

I am writing on behalf of the school community to offer my sincere condolences following the sudden and unexpected death of Stan and should like to extend our deepest sympathies to Alan, Kara, Hannah, Tim, and Rachel as well as to other members of the immediate and extended family.
We recall with pride and affection the contribution Stan made to the life of The High School. He was a pupil here between 1946 and 1950 where he was recorded as achieving honours in the top set at Intermediate Certificate. He subsequently acted as Treasurer of the Old Boys’ Union and was appointed President in 1981-82 in which office he served with distinction. We have reason to be thankful that Stan chose to dedicate a proportion of his professional life to this institution where he is fondly remembered as a dedicated member of the Past Pupils’ Union.
It will undoubtedly be a very difficult and painful time for family and friends both now and in the immediate future. However, you may be assured that we will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers at The High School whilst wishing you every strength and comfort during the months and years ahead.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. My condolences to the family.
I was really sorry to hear about the sudden passing of Stan. I have lovely memories of both Stan and Rosemary as wonderful next-door neighbours. I only saw Stan the other week as he was coming out of his house and I was about to drive off after a visit next door, and he gave me the usual warm friendly smile and wave. He was a true gentleman. I'm very sorry that I wasn't able to attend the funeral last Friday as I was away in Italy at the time. My deepest sympathies to the whole family on your loss.

Since Stan's retirement from Gilbeys, we continued to meet for the occasional lunch and glass of wine and he was always engaging on so many topics, from business to sport and everything in between.
