I was so sad to hear of Stanley's passing. I extend my deepest sympathy to Pat and Kathryn and to his brothers, John and Barry. I had the pleasure of playing with Stanley at underage and school level in Ballina and, indeed in meeting him on visits to Ballina over the years. Stanley was a most unassuming man who showed respect to everyone he met.

I am so grateful to Stanley for all his advice & encouragement whist he was Mayo under 21 selector in 1986 helping us win a Connacht title. His influence really helped me so much as well as with Ballina Stephenites throughout the years . He was truly a gentleman and one of the finest people at that club , His memories and legacy will always remain legendary .

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of club stalwart Stanley.Stanley played with Mayo GAA in 1960 and was club chairman in 1981& secretary from 1970-1975.He also acted as treasurer & joint treasurer for our supporters club.He will be greatly missed by all at Ballina Stephenites.
