Stella Bowen Bourke

We are sadden of the passing of a lovely lady, she will be missed. We all loved chatting with her on her visits to the pharmacy.

Dear Sean and family,

So sad to hear of Stella's passing. Stella was the Head of Make-Up when I joined as a trainee make-up artist in 1986. She was a fountain of knowledge in her field and I very much enjoyed working and learning from her. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Sincere condolences to her whole family. May she Rest in Peace.

Stella was my chief make-up artist since my childhood ....and for 90% of my RTE Career....
Her character make-up for the multitude of characters on the LIVE MIKE alone ...deserved an Oscar...
She was a gifted artiste ...and the most beautiful woman ...always so kind...so patient ..and when you had to sit for hours in " HER CHAIR " for complex character make up....she was the best company imaginable ..
I am so greatly saddend at her passing ...
Thank you for all those years of dedication Stella ..
I shall never forget them ...or you 💔

An annual highlight was filming with Stella for the annual Quilty Christmas video. Stella was such a great laugh.

It was with great sadness I came to hear of Stella's passing. The affection and generosity she gave to others could never be sufficiently repaid. Her "joie de vivre" was legendary. The words "special person" are often bandied about these days but in Stella's case it was true.
Her laughter now has been silenced but I will always carry in my heart the treasured memories I have of Stella.
My thoughts are with Sèan her husband and her sister Lia at this sad time.
