Our condolences go out to Helena and Joanne as well as the wider Doyle family on the sudden loss of yet another family member in such a short amount of years. Stephen was well known within the town, and especially at Whitegates where he enjoyed watching Wicklow Rovers matches whilst also having chats with other supporters and club members. Stephen was a lover of the sport all round, being a big Manchester United fan, but also a referee in the local area for some years. I remember him being involved with Martial Arts too, as he used to attend Tommy Dunne's Shotokan Dojo along the Mall as a teenager. Rest in Peace Stephen, from all the Earls and Forde families in the Town.

Sincere condolences to Helena, Joanne and the extended Doyle and Sillery families on the heartbreaking news of Stephen's sad passing. Stephen's love for football was evident as he was a loyal supporter to his beloved Manchester United and Wicklow Rovers AFC. There was no question he couldn't answer on the history of either club, he would always be seen on the sidelines in all types of weathers cheering on Rovers in the 80's and 90's. Stephen then turned to officiating games as a referee at junior level. A great servant to the game, a nice young man who enjoyed the banter with everyone. Rest in peace Stephen 🙏
