I only heard of Stephen's sad passing this week I was away at the time and so very sorry for your loss - I knew him from Irish Life and a more genuine man you could not hope to meet - you are all in I'm my thoughts and prayers may he rest in peace

My sincerest condolences to Stephen's family. Whenever there was a charity event in work, I would ask a favour of a podium or something small and Stephen would come back with all sorts of bells and whistles to make the event amazing. He was the most obliging and helpful person. He always went beyond the call of duty with a big smile. He will be hugely missed.

I knew Stephen only through his work at Irish Life and even then had limited contact with him. I would meet him from time to time, sometimes by arrangement, sometimes just by chance. He always had a kind word, an enquiry about ones personal circumstances or family and the day would be a little bit brighter for the meeting. My sincere condolences to his family and relations.

I met Stephen around 1980 and worked with him many times in the intervening years throughout his professional life. Stephen was, at all times, a good, decent man and a pleasure both to work with and share a social occassion. I am deeply saddened to hear of Stephens tragic and untimely passing.
