Stephen GALVIN

I only heard of Stephen's passing today, 16th Dec. I am absolutely heartbroken and incredibly shocked. Stephen was a very great friend to me and a great Brother-in-law to my late Wife Frances (Fran) Wallace. I have many wonderful memories of Stephen and myself that I will cherish for the rest of my days.

My sincerest and deepest condolences to all of his family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Until we meet again in a better place.

My earliest memories of Stephen was up around Tram terrace in the mid 60's. Himself with his cousin Tony, they really looked the part, Stephen was like one of James Dean's mates, tight jeans, white tshirt/ shirt, hair slicked back , rest in peace .

Well Stephen you look gorgeous in that photo and don't you know it. A pleasure knowing you, a pleasure playing music with you, and most of all a pleasure listening to you play. You've a harmonica, or three or four packed with you no doubt, which means the ears around you are in for a treat. They'll be swaying and singing along together on the faster numbers like Wooden Heart and swaying and drifting off to wherever it is you take them on the slow ones like the Lonesome boatman. If it ever happens I look forward to playing with you again sometime, and if not playing then listening to you play.

Heart broken, What a gentleman Stevo came from the Avo he was a brilliant neighbor , and a great friend. He always had a smile and his memories and story’s of all the families growing up on the Avo were priceless, as a kid I always remember him his dad Steven his brother John and Pascal in the garden fixing cars and always willing to show you what he was doing and how to fix the problems he had loads of time and patience, unfortunately with covid restrictions we won’t be there but we will always have dear dear memories of a lovely lovely person and one that I could call a friend Rest In Peace Stevo.
