Met 944903 Apr S Houghton in Dec 1980. We were in the same class in the apprentice school. We became great friends and stayed as such right through our army career. I was like an agony aunt for Stephen when he met Eileen and had the very odd argument, usually over stupid stuff, as you do when going out together. I was best man at their wedding all those years ago and used to call down to the house in Bray when Stephen used to pick me up at the train station in the squeaky Renault 5 LOL. We had good times. So glad I saw you before you went Stephen, may you have eternal rest mate. Eileen, love to you and the children. Talk soon, Stephen xx

It was with great sadness i learned of Stephens passing. I have fond memories of stephen in the Apprentice school as a student. A man that was liked by everyone in the school by all ranks. I offer my sincerest condolences to his wife and family and large circle of friends. I met many fine people during my military career, Stephen stands head and shoulders above them all. May his kind and gentle soul rest in eternal peace.

Sympathy to Stephens Family on his passing. I served with Stephen in the 21st Inf Bn /B Coy/FCA/ Coastguard Station Dun Laoghaire and remember when he joined the AAS, he used to turn up on our range days to do the pre weapon checks, always in great form. RIP Stephen.
