We as a family are deeply saddened to learn, only in recent days, about Steve’s passing. He was a big part of our lives growing up and we will always have such fond memories of Stevie (as he was known to us).

My sincere condolences to Steve's family, his wife Angela, his siblings, children and his extended families. Steve was a GREAT MAN. A truly nice, friendly decent man, whom I always enjoyed talking with when I filled my petrol in the car park in town. We were friends for years in those days and we enjoyed many long chats. I only came to know today, Sat 12th Aug, that Steve has sadly passed over. I was speaking to my daughter Eithne, (who also remembers Steve fondly) and we got to chatting about Steve Leonard, I told her I would like to track Steve Leonard down and see if he's still alive. She just minutes ago looked up RIP.ie and we were deeply saddened to know we were just days too late, because Steve passed away only days ago. Steve was a genuinely lovely man, always very helpful, and a pleasure always to talk to. It's good to know he also had a good, long life. You can be guaranteed he is in heaven now sitting beside the spirit version of the holy statues he so treasured in the car park in Cork city. I am 92 yrs myself, I'll catch up with Steve and have our reunion when its my turn to go up above. Meanwhile God bless Steve RIP, and our deepest condolences to Angela, Steve's siblings, children and all his extended family.
