My dear beloved big brother I will miss you forever, my heart is broken knowing all I have left are the cherished memories of the good times we had together,I have many great memories of the things we got up to growing up together and will cherish those memories forever.

To Meabh, Aoife and Cathal my deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved husband and father, Stephen loved you all so much and I hope you can find peace knowing how much stephen loved you all and remembering the good times you had together.

To my Mam and Dad I'm so sorry for the loss of your first born child, Stephen was a great family man, a great quality instilled by you both and someone you can both be proud of.

Still so hard to believe this happened. Looking back our memories of Stephen are of someone who was always smiling and totally committed to his wife and kids. This is how we will remeber Stephen as will all. He will be forever missed by everyone who ever met him but especially those who considered him a friend.

Maebh, I'm devastated for you and Cathal and Aoife. Very regrettably, I'm an old friend who lost touch and only heard on the 10th of September. I think i last saw you at your wedding and a few years later while visiting Stephens parents. He was a beautiful spirit. Ive thought of him over the years and will always remember his gentle way, kindness, sense of humour and most importantly, taste in music.

He was always willing to help Aidan in Belfast and Donegal and I won't forget the kindness he showed me over the years. A true gentleman. We miss him and will treasure our memories. Dearest Méabh, Aoife and Cathal, we can hardly believe we are writing these words. Our hearts are truly broken for you. Stephen was the kindest, most unassuming soul, generous and steadfast in his love for his family, quiet confidence in a crowded room. Listening to Galileo, we remember all the growing up we did together, sharing in the new adventures of your beautiful children, changing careers, nights filled with music, dancing and craic until the sun came up. The new found joy of swimming and surfing in Donegal. The water will never be the same again. Sending all our love, Ciara and Fergal.

We have such fond memories of a kind and gentle soul. Stephen was clearly cherished by his family and friends, sincere condolences to them all.
