I have many fond memories of Steve from growing up in the crescent: his calm and friendly presence, his genuine interest in how everyone was doing, his lovely sense of humour. Time would slow down when you'd stop and talk to Steve. He was a kind and generous man.

May he rest in peace.

To the O'Shea Family, Steve and Gobnait were great friends to my mum and dad, Tom and Mena, I have wonderful memories of both, card games and great laughs.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing and sincere sympathy to his wife and family. I worked with Steve a long time ago. He was a wonderful colleague, generous and kind to all and with a great sense of humor - as well as making a great contribution in all the roles he filled. May he rest in peace and get the reward he so deserves after a life of decency and caring that enriched all who crossed his path.
