I knew Stephen from growing up in Malahide and through Malahide Sea Scouts. I have many fond memories of Stephen during various camps, hikes and other activities where I was the little brother to his pal (Stephen Halpin). He was always a kind, friendly, clever and decent person. After many years I returned to scouting with Malahide as a leader and I wasn't surprised to see Stephen fully committed there, running Monday cubs and involved at Malahide Group leadership too. The years hadn't changed him, he was still the friendly, easy going, helpful person that he was when he was a kid. I can't say I knew Stephen well but I was heart broken to hear of his passing. I can only offer my deepest condolences to Barbara and your children. He was such a lovely person and you should be so proud of him. Rest in peace Stephen.
