He was a loyal past pupil and made a significant contribution to scouting in Rock and in Ireland.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Stephen, we have great memories of Stephen from our days at Coopers & Lybrand, the rugby trips, O Brien's on Fridays etc, he always had a smile. May he rest in peace.

So sad to learn of the passing of Stephen his commitment to local, National and International Scouting was enormous his influence on me as a person has stood with me throughout my lifetime and many others from my neck of the woods over the Liffey in RAHENY Sincere sympathy to all of his family and fellow scouts Gone Home. Sorry I can’t be at Stephen’s Requiem Mass today on a family break.

We are grateful to Stephen for his generous contribution as a former National Commissioner of CBSI, as National Secretary (1977 to 1979) in CBSI and as former Vice-Chairperson of the European Scout Committe. His generous contribution to scouting in Ireland was immense. Gone home.
He recruited me as a Cooper to work in Coopers as we used say - held in very high esteem by all unsundry
