So desperately sorry to hear about Acky. Emma, you and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers and this sad time and I am so sorry that I will not be with you on Wednesday - will be thinking of you all.
To a good guy who enjoyed a bit of fun. He will be missed.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Acky was a decent hard working and honest man who I often bought a few items from.
He was a business neighbour from Merchants Road.
I had only been over to him to get some small bits the previous Friday. I joked about them still open at 5 to which he laughed (sort of laugh)saying he was there until 20.30 the previous night.
I am not sure why God called Acky, but it is our loss.
I only heard this shocking news Sunday at mass in Bearna where Fr. Des Forde inc Acky in our prayers.
God grant him safe passage.
RIP.
