Sorry to hear of Steve’s passing. May he rest in peace. Deepest sympathy to his family and friends, from Veronica (fellow patient at St Martin’s Dialysis, Beaumont)
I had the privilege of getting to know Steve in Dublin, just prior to emigrating - he was a true buddy - loyal and caring to a fault. Once Steve had your back - you were good. On most visits back home, I would meet up with Steve - it was a highlight of every return trip.
As my move took me to the US, and return trips home became fewer - sadly, I saw less and less of my buddy Steve. He was never too far from my mind and just knowing the future could hold another encounter with him, played a big part in my ability to wear the strain and regret of living away from home.
Very, very sorry to hear of your departure Steve - you brought much purpose and happiness to all whom you met - and you left an indelible mark! I was blessed to make your acquaintance, and doubly blessed to be able to count you amongst my friends. Till we meet again, in sympathy and gratitude, rest in peace my friend.

I was sorry to hear of Stevens death, my sympathy to his Family and Friends.
I was deeply saddened to learn of my friend Steve's passing. Sincere condolences to Lesley and the family. I met and became friends with Steve in elementary school, around 1974. We became very close friends for many years, and I considered him to be like the brother I never had. We lost contact for a few years after Steve decided to settle in Ireland, but reconnected through Facebook. So many fond memories in our youth: concerts, beaches, double dates, movies and so much more. I was so happy to host Steve in 2007 for several weeks when he returned to Southern California to visit family and friends, and we got to reminisce about the old days. I surprised Steve with a VIP package to a Boston concert at Del Mar Fairgrounds, and we had an amazing evening. I am truly grateful for the many great times we had together, and to have had such a good and loyal friend for 45 years. Rest in peace brother.
We were truly sorry Lesley to hear of Steves passing.
May he RIP
