Stewart Baker

To the Baker family. Sincere condolences on the passing of Stewart. I have fond memories of Stewart from my time studying Paediatrics as a medical student at UCG, and working Summer jobs as a porter at UCHG. Stewart was a true gentleman. He was always accommodating and helpful, and a pleasure to interact with. His kind manner, patience and gentle humour was much appreciated. May he Rest in Peace.

We are deeply sorry for the loss of your father. There is nothing we can say that will make your pain go away, but please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers and we will light a candle for you all this Christmas. You must take comfort in the fact your father has his feet up now and that he will be so immensely proud of you and the incredible family you have. I always remember how he was glowing with pride at your wedding…. Proud of the man you have become and the amazing wife and family you have around you.
I am personally so humbled I got to meet your father, a man who brought you up to being one of my closest and most cherished friends.

Stewart was a coach to the University Rugby club( UCG) in 1994/95 along with the late Mick Grealish. It was a difficult time for a student team in the All Ireland league. I do fondly recall his wit and humour.
