Ken, Phena, Nessa, Lara and Greg, I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of Stuart’s passing today. I have great and very fond memories of Stuart down in Brittas Bay. He was such a cool dude, a brilliant footballer- a warrior on the pitch and a gent off it- and he was great company too. I feel honoured to have known him. Thinking of you all. May he rest in peace.

I just found out about Stuarts passing and would like to pass on my condolences. I spent several summers in Brittas Bay 20+yrs ago & knew Stuart from down there. He was such a classy, cool & funny guy. Very warm character. Just an all round nice guy. Great footballer too. Everybody liked Stuart. Very saddened to hear that he passed away. Best wishes to his family and friends. RIP Stuart.

We were very sad to hear of Stuarts passing. Although I didn't know him well, I spent a superb two weeks on holiday with Stuart 20 years ago and his strength of character has left a lasting impression with me. Our sincere condolence to all of Stuarts family and friends. May he rest in peace.

Ken, Phena, Vanessa, Lara and Greg, I was heartbroken to hear the news of Stuarts passing.

It was a number of years since Peter, Austin and I called up to see him and like always was full of the joys, smiling and chatty. It will only be good times I will remember of us all calling over to each others houses, playing in the back garden behind the hedge with the old aircraft parts. To this day I will never forget we were all playing soccer in the back garden and your mum was washing the dishes, I kicked the ball and shattered the kitchen window directly in front of her. All of the halloweens, parties and the band we set up and played to an empty garden in Fiachra's garden. The soccer matches we played against all of the other local teams and Foxrock Celtic will also live strong.

I am sorry I could not be there today to say farewell but our time will come some day and I do look forward to seeing you soon my friend. No doubt you are all looking down on us all here with that cheeky smile of yours.

I think all of us girls, at one time or another, were secretly (and not so secretly!) in love with him.
