Stuart was a great sportsman throughout his life, showcasing his talents on the hockey pitch and golf course. Stuart turned his talents to the sideline and brought such joy and success during his time coaching in Old Alex HC. His impact on the sporting world has left fond memories and many medals with his friends, teammates and players whom he coached. He will be sadly missed by his hockey family and community within Old Alex and YMCA.

Very sorry and surprised to hear of Stuart’s passing. I knew him in Osborne King and Megran in the 70’s and 80’s. He was a very likeable character and always very straightforward in his dealings.

I’m so sorry to hear of Stuart’s passing and that I couldn’t make the funeral today. I first met Stuart socially in the 70’s when we had friends in common. He was always upbeat and a tonic to be with - great company. My condolences to his nearest and dearest.

Stuart was a gentleman. He sold us a house last summer and being in the same business I was always in awe of what a legend Stuart was in the business. He was so well respected and will be a sorely missed. RIP
