Deepest condolences to Dave & family on the passing of Sue.

I only had one chance meeting with her when we were spending time in Dave's studio years ago but a lovely friendly woman.

Cherish the good times and keep her close to your heart everyday!

Lots of love, Rich ♥️ x
I am so sad to hear of Sue’s passing. I met her only a couple of times but whether on the phone or on email she always brought a human touch to the work - it was all about people - other people - never herself and it was always fun. She was amazing. My deepest sympathy to her family and work colleagues at ATOI.

Thank you, Sue, for the happy years I spent on Haddington Road!
Sue was such a big influence in my life, between using her phrases in my everyday language and chatting in Italian over sausages over FaceTime on Sunday mornings.
It is so sad that we will no longer have her smile, energy and laugh with us in person anymore, but she will be forever in our hearts.
She was such a resilient, kind and caring person and we were all very lucky to have her in our lives.
I want to send my condolences to David and all of Sue’s family and friends and those who loved her, and we are many.

I really cannot find the words to state the scope of her person - her professionalism, genuine empathy and warmth. I always marvelled at the ethos she spread throughout her team - the friendliest team in the business - a team of 'lifers'.
May her soul rest in deserved peace.

Ever since I met Muriel Gould in 1969, I kept hearing about her school friend Susan Shanks. It would be 19 years before I would actually meet Sue and husband Giampiero Uda. Over the next 36 years I would grow to understand what a unique individual Sue was and why she was such an amazing friend to us both. What a special person, I shall really miss her. Rest in peace my friend.

Condolences to David and family on your sad loss. I would have had occasion to drop into A Touch Of Ireland HQ - often unannounced - on diplomatic assignments over the years and always found there a happy, colourful, congenial and productive working environment that was very much like that of a family. Indeed these qualities were reflected in Sue herself, a most impressive person.

My sincere condolences to you David and Sophie, she was such a fantastic person, who thought of everyone else first. I had the privilege of knowing Sue for more than 60yrs, during our schools days in Cork. RIP
I am deeply saddened at Sue’s passing. She was my first boss, my friend, and a true inspiration over the past 35+ years. Sue was such an amazing person - ground-breaking, fearless and fun. Despite adversity, she taught us all how to be braver and to live with true positivity. Her leadership was gentle, but her impact was immense.

I am especially grateful for the lifelong bond between Sue and my mother, Muriel — a friendship that began in their schooldays and brought such richness to both of their lives. The connection they shared will always endure.

To her beloved son David, daughter-in-law Sophie, and grandchildren Ollie and Daisy — I send my heartfelt condolences. My sympathies to her wider family, her many, many friends, and her dear colleagues at A Touch of Ireland, Global Teamwork, and across the industry both in Ireland and abroad.

May we all find comfort in the legacy Sue leaves — one of great determination, kindness, fun and creativity.

As I write this message, I’m thinking of Sue and the words of J.K. Rowling spring to my mind “Those we love never truly leave us. There are things that death cannot touch.”
