She was a neighbour of ours on the Flag Road for many years back in my youth and I remember her tending to her flowers and garden out the back.

Susan did a marvellous video interview with Déirdre Comber for our Oidhreacht an Chláir Community Memories project, funded by the Heritage Council, in 2018 and later shown in public. Not alone did she display an extraordinarily retentive memory of her early life in Cloonanaha (as well as of later life in the Flag Road), and of special prayers which she cherished all her life, prophecies, personalities, stories and incidents (such as Miltown Races) - all delivered with her customary sharp wit - but she also sang to a high standard and with youthful gusto several rare or unknown songs in English and Irish, along with old recitations.
