I only heard today 6th April on meeting an old work colleague of Susan sudden passing in February. Susan was a joy to work with. Her care and compassion for all her students was one of kindness, encouragement and you can do this attitude that Ive no doubt helped all the students obtain there grades. She went beyond the call of duty. Deepest sympathy to her family at this very difficult time.

My deepest condolences to the
culbert family on the very sad passing of Susan. I met susan at the grow national event in portlaoise last September. Her story was an inspiration to all of us that were there and she left a good legacy for all of us to follow for the rest of our lives.A very nice person with a gentle caring soul may she rest in peace

I can’t begin to say how much Susan has meant to our family over recent years. Her warmth, kindness and sense of fun were transformative. An amazing teacher, an amazing mentor and a wonderful person. I was absolutely shocked to hear of Susan's Death. I knew Susan for only Five years. It was a great pleasure and a privilege to to have encountered such a wonderful person. She was very kind and she touched the live's of so many people including myself.

Susan was an angel who shone a light upon everyone who was fortunate enough to have met her. May her light continue to shine for her mother, Hayley, Danny and David and little Isabelle. Thank you Susan for all your kindness. X

I have had the absolute pleasure of working alongside Susan at DLCTC for 15 years. During the time we’ve talked, laughed and shared many experiences on life’s journey.

Susan was the loveliest of work colleagues and I’m honored to think of her as a friend too. She taught me lots about compassion and love and I’ll never forget her pride in her work and of her adored family.

Susan leaves a gaping hole at DLCTC amongst her colleagues and also those amongst the learners who in Susan found someone who believed in them. I have heard the most lovely tributes to her in the last few days most of which refer to Susan as being the kindest person people had met and someone who impacted so positively on countless lives.

Susan’s memory will live on at DLCTC and while it’s going to take time to get over her loss, I hope we all can learn from her life and carry on that bit kinder, while remembering the importance and impact of a smile.
