My sincere condolences to Sydney Peck’s family on your loss. I had Sydney for English in Colaiste Ris. I found him most encouraging and inspired a deep interest in and appreciation of English which has stayed with me. He was also behind our young scientist astronomy project which was highly commended at the young scientist exhibition. He truly made a lasting impression on me. Thank you Sydney.

Remember Mr Peck well from the CBS nearly 30 years ago, thought me Technology. All classes were taught with enjoyment and fun, he was an absolute gent, Deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May he rest in peace
My sympathies to all Mr. Peck's family and friends.
He was an extraordinary teacher in Coláiste Rís and brought geography alive with his own a unique style and memorable turn of phrase! "You have to try hit the maximum number of birds with the minimum number of stones" was one he often used! He had huge dedication to the cause of the Young Scientist competition and inspired many of us to "go for it".
May be rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to Alan and all the Peck family on the passing of your father. May he rest in peace.
Mr Peck was the best of a teacher, encouraging, passionate and challenging. I only took his English class for my repeat Leaving Cert Year in Coláiste Rís and it was a welcome shock to the system.
He challenged the status quo, asked you to consider why not for a change. I will never forget my essay that summer in my English exam was about the inside of a balloon. Twelve months earlier I couldn't have imagined writing such an abstract essay in a crucial exam. That was him, a breadth of fresh air. He made a big impact on me in the very short time our paths crossed and I will be forever grateful. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Peck was a wonderful teacher who brought learning to life. I still can remember his classes now over 20 years later. He has left a great legacy with his teaching, I use the critical thinking he espoused everyday in my career as an engineer. Condolences to his loved ones on his loss.

Déanaimid comhbhrón ó chroí le Sheila, Allan,Helen agus Clann Uí Choigligh go léir ar bhás Sydney Peck. Sár-oide inspioráideach sa Tíreolas agus sa Bhéarla ab ea Sydney i gColáiste Rís Dún Dealgan. Bhí meas thar na bearta i gcónaí ag a chuid daltaí ar “Mr Peck”: spreag sé iad; chothaigh sé féin-mhuinín iontu; léirigh sé pléisiúr an léinn dóibh agus mheall sé iad a bheith uaillmhianach i ngach rud a rinne siad i rith a saoil. Go bhfaighe Sydney suaimhneas síoraí anois agus go bhfaighe a Chlann ionúin faoiseamh is sólás ina mbris mhór.
Offering my thoughts to the extended Peck family. Mr Peck taught me geography at Coláiste Rís and was a gifted teacher and incredibly intelligent man. Will always remember him fondly.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. May all the lovely memories you shared bring you comfort and strength during this difficult time. My thoughts are with you and your family. With deepest sympathy, Eileen
