We are so sad about the passing of Uncle Sylvester and want to send you all our love and heartfelt sympathy. Syl was a very special person to the Parnell family, always kind and welcoming to us. We will fondly remember the many family holidays to Mayo that began and ended in Bray, filled with laughter, stories, and good times spent together - Syl always had a tale or joke to share. We pray that God’s loving embrace brings you comfort and peace, and that all the treasured memories you hold give you great comfort in the time ahead. May Syl rest in eternal peace. What a lovely photo you chose for Mr Hollands memorial, it captures his essence beautifully, it brought a smile to my face, remembering your father fondly Brian and Denise, he was a fair kind man, an intelligent and knowledgeable man, he always had a snippet of some sort of interesting information that I could learn from when I worked for him in his public house on the Main Street, I remember the excitement of the renovation and how he asked the staff for their thoughts on the decor etc, he made everyone feel involved 🙌💕🙌 I remember the excitement of Christmas preparations with Robbert and John getting everything organised and prepared 🙌💕🙌 a long time has since passed from those days, I have lovely memories of being a customer also lunch breaks with work friends and social drinks at night. He ran a great public house. I am so sorry for your great loss Anne, and for his Girls and his one and only son Brian 🙏🏻 and his grandchildren, he must have been a great influence on you all 💔 with his strong character, a handsome upright man, that has left a great legacy behind him 🙌💕🙌 may God rest his wonderful soul 🙏🏻💕🙏🏻 The Legend that was Syl Holland 🙏🏻 God bless you all at this difficult time 🙏🏻

Condolences to Anne and family. I have so many memories of Syl in Hollands and his hospitality. He always found time to greet and talk to everyone. I used to visit vey often with my late sister Nicky, and it always felt like being welcomed home. He was such an important part of the community. RIP
