My deepest sympathy to the Archbold family. I am so saddened to hear that your wonderful mother and an incredible Ballet teacher has passed . I started dancing in skerries with her when I was 3 right up until I was 16 . Exams were held the best shows were had I even played the lead part .She was such an elegant lady with a wicked sense of humour her creativity was endless as she loved having fun , Mrs Ellis on the piano while we twirled on our toes so many memories dancing 7 days a week she thought me stage presence and dedication is key ! she will never be forgotten. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time , your mother created alot of happy memories through my childhood and teens but I’m sure has left an unforgettable legacy of her love for ballet may she rest with the angels

I was saddened to hear of Sylvia’s passing. She was a wonderful dance teacher and kind and generous lady. I learned so much from her over years of enjoying her ballet classes. I will always remember how she visited me when my first child was born. My deepest sympathy to all her family. Rest in peace Mrs Archbold. You always said dancers live forever.

My deepest sympathies to Mrs Archbold’s family. I have fond memories of her ballet classes which I attended throughout my teenage years. May she rest in peace.

Very saddened to hear of the loss of Mrs Archbold. I was a ballet student of hers for many years, her love and passion for the art was something truly unique. I still remember performing the “leaf dance” for the first time at St Pats, a piece she orchestrated from her own mind that she received overwhelming praise for and rightly so.

I have wonderful memories of Mrs Archbold. She was an excellent teacher. She had such presence and grace, and she instilled passion and discipline to her students with apparent ease. I was lucky to have been taught by her. My condolences to the Archbold family.

I was lucky to have your Mum as my own ballet teacher for many years and then the wonderful experience of her teaching my own little girls.
