Dear Sylvia was a glorious and loyal friend always. She was enormously kind and a wonderful member of the House Group in St Peter's Church, Carrigrohane. I loved her style. She always dressed elegantly. She loved gardening. Especially, dear to her Dad, Mr Browne and Sylvia loved fishing in Fountainstown. This brings me to her love of the sea. A marvellous and fun loving person. I always associate her with my favourite time of the year-Summer. My lasting memory will always be of her cheerfulness. May she rest in peace and rise in glory

70 plus years ago Sylvia & I met on the babminton court & became great friends. There was many a night when we ended up at Lennox's chip shop for a bag of chips, and there were occasions when her mother would find she had an extra breakfast to serve, because I had ended up sleeping in Sylvia's bedroom. I have many fond memories of playing tennis, swimming in Fontainstown, visiting one another's houses, playing 110 and going on holidays together. With Ide, we kept up the friendship until recent years when age slowed us down. We are full of sympathy for you all, Louise, Mark and all your family members. May Silvia rest in Peace.

Sylvia was an old family friend from our youth in Fountainstown and later she became an extra special friend of ours and a carer when she minded my Dad, John Kiely, for several years before his death. Dad delighted in her company, she was so kind and considerate to him, nothing was too much trouble, she was a real treasure. Our family were so lucky to have her, we really appreciated all she did for Dad and we were privileged to have known her. Sylvia was a very special, lovely, elegant lady, may her gentle soul rest in peace.
