Deepest condolences to the Mathews family on the loss of Sylvia, may she rest in peace.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of our beloved Sylvia at the remarkable age of 107. It was a true priviledge for all of us to have known and cared for her. Sylvia was queen of St. Martha's and will be fondly remembered by all staff and residents. Our sincere condolences to Stuart, Susan and all Sylvia's family and loved ones. May her soul rest in peace

Memories flood back from my childhood of Sylvia's visits to the farm bringing her cherry cake...
Reminding Flosie that white wine should be served with lunch (even though it was only served for lunch on Christmas Day in our house).
Rest now.

Rest now.
My sincere sympathies to the family of Sylvia, the staff of St Vincent's CNU and her friends and all who knew her. It was an honour to write about Sylvia's birthday celebrations in the Leinster Express and while I never met her, I gained a great impression of the fine lady she was from the kind accounts of St Vincent's staff who I know genuinely cared for her. May she rest in peace.
