Sincerest sympathy to all of Tadhg's family and friends on his passing. He was a lovely gentleman and did so much for the School of Computing and the wider Faculty of Engineering and Computing at DCU. He is sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
I was so sorry to hear of Tadhg's passing. I had the pleasure to work with him as a sponsor in DCU for many years. He was fun and such a nice, down to earth person. May he rest in peace. Condolences to all his family.
My heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolences to the O’Shea family. I was truly saddened and shocked to hear of Tadhg’s passing. I had the privilege of working with him during his time on our Steering Group and I will always remember him as the warm, funny, kind, and absolutely genuine person that he was. Rest in peace Tadhg.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Tadhg’s passing yesterday. Though our time working together on the Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet Steering Group was brief - just over six months - he made a lasting impression on me.

From the moment I joined, he went out of his way to make me feel welcome. His kindness, his cheerful personality, and the genuine warmth with which he engaged others are something I will always remember.

I can only imagine the profound sense of loss his family and close friends must be feeling. Please accept my deepest condolences at this incredibly difficult time for you.
I first met Tadhg many years ago while working on reception in the DCU gym. We had countless chats and quickly became friends. When he got first sick, naturally he was shocked and devasted, but he still fought his illness with incredible strength. I often told him over the years that he was an inspiration, and as always, he brushed it off with his gentle modesty.

Even after I left DCU, we remained friends and met up on lots of occasions. We both had a love of books and he was always genuinely interested in what was happening in my life, my family, and how my children were getting on – from school right through to college and even their masters. In turn, I knew all about his sisters, his brother, and his Mam and Dad, although I never got the chance to meet them. We never ran out of things to talk about, and we often laughed about how our birthdays were only six days apart. He even had a lovely Saturday morning chat in the DCU gym with my husband, Michael.

When he first went into Clearbrook, he contacted me, and I visited him on several occasions. We continued our chats about books, life, family, and the world in general.

I didn’t know he had passed to a better place until a few weeks after, and it was a shock that deeply saddened me. I will miss our conversations and will always remember him fondly, with that warm smile on his face.

Farewell, my friend.
— Joan and Michael Carey

Condolences to all of Tadhg’s family and friends. Tadhg was a wonderful, warm genuine soul . So sad to hear of his passing.
So many others have written eloquently here about Tadhg & I concur with it all. Everyone who met Tadhg loved him - he was humble, kind, loyal, generous, wise and oh so very funny. We shared a lot over 28 years of friendship. A great leader, he told me he managed his team by "walking around having the chats". There were no airs and graces with Tadhg, he knew everyone's name and their life story..he cared. He was my go-to person in Fidelity when i needed a lift and I hope I was of help to him along the way. I am privelaged to count myself among his many many friends. I hope and pray the good memories brings comfort to his loving family and all who mourn him, sincere condolences on your loss. Thank you also to his family for allowing us to share in his funeral service, you did him proud.

I don’t know what this means below, but perhaps it means we are never really far separated (or separated at all) from the ones we are in harmony with, I hope so.

A Great Wagon, Rumi
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

Ideas, language, even the phrase ‘each other’ doesn’t make any sense.

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.

You must ask for what you really want.

People are going back and forth across the doorsill where the two worlds touch.

The door is round and open.
big love today & always to Sean, Pat, Colette, Gus & Jacinta, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.

When I visited Tadhg back in June at the Clearbrook Nursing Home where he was recouperating, I was sure he had not been there long, but when asked directions to Tadhgs room and multiple staff along the way told me without hesitation. I caught myself mid-thought ‘how does everyone know Tadhg already?’ then I just laughed out loud to myself, because it made so much sense, of course everyone would know Tadhg already, that was so Tadhg!
It made perfect sense, so all of us who will miss his wit, humour, compassion and many other great qualities can rest in full assurance, wherever Tadhg is now, he will already know so many people and they will already love him just the way we do. Safe journey Tadhg!
Sincere condolences to Colette and all the O'Shea family on the loss of Tadgh.
May you find comfort in all your wonderfull memories.
May Tadgh's gentle soul rest in peace

RIP Tadhg. A wonderful man who brought a brightness to any room he entered. He mentored me over the early stages of my career in Fidelity and his empathy was amazing. Having crossed paths over the last couple of years locally in Glasnevin, regardless of what he was going through, his keen interest in everyone else was always to the fore of our chats. He will be greatly missed.
I never met Tahhg but I heard wonderful stories about him from his loving sister, Jacinta, who is my neighbour: she told of his courage, his warmth, his interest and his concern for others and also his humour even when his illness was at its most serious.

My sympathy to the whole O’Shea family.

Deepest condolences to Tadhg's family on his passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Tadhg 28 years ago as we both started in Fidelity at the same time. He was one of the most authentic people you could meet. He was kind, wise, funny and a true friend with magnetic energy. He was born on 1st Nov, All Saints day. We shared our last laugh only a week ago. I will miss you so much Tadhg. I will never forget you. Shine on and rest in peace my dear friend xx Marie and Michael Laffey, Galway.
