I will cherish my memories of the fun times we had at Trinity and over the years. Every time I hear “pet” I will remember you. I was profoundly sad to hear that Tara had passed away. I was in Loreto Junior and Senior school with Tara. She was a lovely person. In a time where girls of that age weren’t necessarily nice, Tara was a genuine & nice person. She was fierce on the hockey pitch. She had a deep laugh that was unmistakable Tara. She used to come back to school after the summer, with a deep tan which at 16 looked outrageously fabulous and we were all envious of. In the years after Mark’s passing, I would drop her a message or two on Facebook. She was always so gracious in her answer despite her deep sadness. It’s a cruel twist of fate that now Olivia, Ben and Zoe have lost both parents. Tara was so incredibly proud of them. Tara was just effortlessly elegant, unassuming and gracious. She was kind, funny and humble. My thoughts and most sincere condolences go to her children, parents, siblings & partner. I’m sure she will be deeply missed by her circle of friends in Boston and work colleagues. Also sending my deepest sympathies to her childhood friends here in Ireland, Mickaela, Kirsten and Michelle. When you saw one of them in school, the others weren’t far behind and I know that carried through life, still a close group of forever friends after all this time.

May Tara rest in eternal peace.

I'm so very very sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. I havent seen Tara for a long time but smiling, kind and gentle is how I remember her. Thinking of ye all with sincere sympathy.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news of Tara’s passing. She was a girl who I looked up to in school, she had a light in her which shone bright and made you feel special. I also have a Zoe and i can’t imagine leaving her and her siblings behind. R.I.P. Tara you were one of a kind xx
