Sincere condolences to Michael and the McSweeney family on the passing of Tara.

Very sorry to hear of Tara’s death. We were in school together in St. Laurences and also both lived in Wyattville. Bernie and my Mam also shared many’s a glass of wine together. Tara was always a great organiser and a practical, straight talker. Very difficult news to hear and my sympathies go to all of the families. She will always be remembered as such a nice easy person to chat with…

Dear Michael, Zoe, Luke, Ava & Kyle. Such shocking news. I am so sorry for your great loss.
I had the privilege of working with Tara for several years in Carysfort NS during her time as Chairperson of the PTA. She gave so much of herself to our school for the benefit of our school community. I think of her now with a beaming smile, a big hearty laugh and a dynamic personality! She was immensely proud of her family. Hopefully in time you can take comfort and strength from the wonderful legacy she has left to us, and to all of you as a family. I have no doubt that she will live on in your hearts and minds and that somehow you will find the strength to live your best lives as she would want.

Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. Mind each other.

Tara was a beautiful gift to us.

The Ship

I am standing upon the seashore.
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze,
and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength,
and I stand and watch her until she hangs like a speck of white cloud
just where the sea and sky come down to meet and mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says: “There! She’s gone!”
Gone where? Gone from my sight—that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side,
and just as able to bear her load of living freight
to the place of her destination.
Her diminished size is in me and not in her.

And just at that moment
when someone at my side says: “There! She’s gone!”
There are other eyes that are watching for her coming;
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:
“There she comes!”

And that is—"dying."

This is a tough one to write.
Michael and family, I’m so deeply sorry for your loss. Tara was such bubbly, chatty and vivacious character who wore her heart on her sleeve. When she became Chairperson of the Carysfort PTA she worked tirelessly to ensure the children in the school benefited from all the fundraising.
I cant believe she’s gone. 💔
Hoping you find comfort in each other as you meander your way through the sadness and grief in the coming days and months.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Tara. We went to Laurence's together and we had our 20 year school reunion back in 2009 in the Royal Marine and it was lovely to see Tara at that gathering - was a great night! As everyone knows Tara had a wicked sense of humour with a vivacious personality and was very well liked by everyone in school. I'll always remember her kindness and her lovely smile. RIP Tara and my sincere condolences to all the family.

Reg, Michael and Zoe. I'm so devastated at Tara's passing . I spend 10 days with her in St John's Ward. We had great chats. She was so proud of you all. I honestly thought she was going to be treated on St Helens ward and would start a slow but successful recovery. Such sadness
