Thank you all for your wonderful messages for Dad.

Roisin, Geni and I had three very special days with him. We held his hands & read to him, sang songs and read all the messages from family and friends. He heard every single one.

We worked as one mind and I'm so grateful for that synergy and the experiences we shared, both the difficult and the joyous. Despite the dreadful sadness, we had humour at times too. Which of course he would have wanted.

It was so sad & frustrating that due to covid, those who wished to say goodbye in person could not, in particular his siblings and closest pals. But we spoke to him often of you all and reminded him of your shared stories.

The expert care team at the Mater made him so comfortable and supported us so sensitively, I could never thank them enough.

It was our honour to help him as he gently flew away.

To Roisin & the Murphy family, I am shocked to hear of Ted’s passing. I first met Ted when I was a student nurse in Dr Stephens Hospital in 1970. We, as students were in awe of his style and caring personality. I was so happy to touch base with him when I joined Aer Lingus as a nurse in 1977. He was unique and will be a huge loss to all who knew him.

Our deepest sympathy to Roisin and all of Teds family on his untimely passing ,Sincerest condolences from Henry & Yvonne .I had the privilege of being in Lauda and Jet airways with Ted between 2005 and 2010 (2 paddies among the Italians and the Indians) His humour went down great with the Indians, so much so, that I often heard his jokes from the trans port drivers when being driven to work in the mornings. Back in ‘97 his pranks and jokes gave everybody a huge lift in Toulouse as we strived to combat the new A330. There was always a laugh or a story. T.P.Murphy , Tesla Tadhg, A Legend, A man you don’t meet every day.
