Ted and Garry were very kind and most forthcoming with advice and information, and generous in sharing expertise with our son Paul when he started on his career in the wine industry.
May Ted and Garry rest in peace.

I cannot begin to tell you how much I miss Ted. He and I would speak regularly as we both had the same curiosity. He would say to me "Rachel, you and I are both nosey! " I know everyone over here in Dallas is saddened by his loss. The connection with the Wine Geese Society will forever be his great legacy. Lots of love to you all and I am so grateful he was a part of my life. Both he and Garry were wonderfully kind to me. May they both rest in peace.

He was an absolute legend in the wine industry and the ultimate wine historian, his book A Kingdom of Wine encapsulates a celebration of Irelands Wine Geese (the Irish who departed our shores and became involved in the wine & spirit industry). We had many wonderful evenings with Ted and Garry advocating the concept of The Wine Geese with the help of The Ireland Funds and before that with Dermot Lovett Brian Cronin and Barry Collins. He was a great mentor and we will always remember the good times and we had many. Sláinte from Michael & Kathleen and all at Barry & Fitzwilliam.
