I was Dr Buckleys intern in 1990. His humility and patient care left a lasting impression on me. “Ted the Head” is want we affectionately called him. We all loved him. Rest in peace.

Ted and Brian Cummings from Cardiff were my senior registrars at the Radcliffe infirmary with Mr. Joe Pennybacker. What seems like 100 years ago, he was a superb teacher, confidant, and extremely skilled neurosurgeon with kindness and compassion for all.

He was the role model that I personally have tried to emulate Throughout my career in NEUROSURGERY at the university of Pittsburgh. Through me and others whom he has so generously mentored, he has touched in a very positive way many thousands of more patients than he did himself. I and they
will be eternally grateful...

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Buckley death. He saved my life nearly 50 yrs ago in St Finbarr’s Hospital. I was 10 years old at the time and he was just so lovely. RIP Mr Buckley and thank you.
