The word Legend is often overused, but not in the case of Teddy. He always came across as a quiet, humble man who just went about his duties on the pitch with no airs or graces. Gone too soon, the world is a lessor place without him and heaven has another sporting hero. No doubt he'll be having a puck around with other Cork GAA Legends Christy Ring, Jack Lynch and many more. My sincere condolences to Teddy's family, relatives and friends on his sudden, tragic and untimely passing.The term legend is an often abused word but if it did not exist in the English language it would have to be invented to describe Teddy. While the year 1990 will always be associated with Ireland's first World Cup Finals it will also be associated in the minds of G.A.A. fans and many other sports followers as the year of Cork's All Ireland football and hurling double which is unique in the modern era. I met Teddy after the Liam Millar (another great Cork sportsman taken far too soon) testimonial match in September 2018 and he was great company. May he find eternal peace.

I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Oonagh, Cian, Niall and Sinead as well as all of Teddy’s extended family. He was a great man and his presence will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Teddy.

So sad to hear of Teddy Mac's untimely passing . I had the pleasure of playing with and against him on a number of occasions . It was truly inspirational to see your actions after the 1990 football final, you didnt want to take the limelight by staying on the field after being the first person to win All Ireland Medals in both codes in the same year.
Hopefully your pucking around now with all the greats that have gone before you .
