Sincere condolences to the Mangan family on this sad day.As a former Chairman of the Irish Heart and Lung Transplant Association and President of the European Heart and Lung Transplant Federation Terry will always be remembered for his contribution to the continued development of the national Heart and Lung Transplant Programme in the Mater Hospital.
He leaves a legacy of influential advocacy for organ donation and the gift of life.
We remember the fun and enjoyment being with Terry at European Heart and Lung Transplant Championships and his pride in the success of the Irish Teams.

Very sad today to learn of Terry’s passing. May he rest in peace. He was one of life’s gentlemen and I had the great privilege of knowing him from the Knocklyon Golf Society and as a neighbour. Our deepest sympathy to his family at this time.

I was shocked and very saddened to learn of Terry’s death. He was such a lovely man -, charming, a great conversationalist and with a good sense of humour.
Andrew, your eulogy for your dad was wonderful. You certainly got the essence of the man. To you, Tim, Carmel, Joan and Anne I extend my heartfelt sympathy.

What an incredible use he made of his extra 25 years following his heart transplant. He was instrumental in persuading a friend of ours to go for a heart transplant and whose family are eternally grateful to Terry for the many extra years he received. May he Rest in Peace.

It was always a pleasure to have him as a golf partner and he was never short of an interesting story. Anyone who played with him would always remember that he was a big fan of proper golf etiquette. Dear Andrew and Tim,
