As a seminarian,
I worked during my Christmas
and Summer Holidays in
the Admiral Bar in Cobh where Teresa
looked after me like a mother
who looks after her hens.

She was always such a kind and genial lady who always displayed empathy and understanding of others.


I was deeply saddened when I was contacted this evening by my brother PJ to be informed of her passing.

On hearing this news, my mind went back to the mid 80’ when I remembered those halcyon days of yore when I had some of my most enjoyable memories and experiences of working alongside Teresa in their family business.

I always found her sense of humour and duty of care for others to be remarkable.

I am so sorry for Gussy and the family in this great time of
profound loss for them.

The last time that I would have seen Teresa was 34 years ago when she attended by ordination.

I just wanted to say
Thank you
for the memories Teresa and for being such an inspiration to me in my student days.

I have no doubt that your gentle soul has found rest in Gods heavenly home.
