The members of St Joseph`s Bowls Club in Drogheda are deeply saddened to learn of Teresa`s passing. She was a great character and a hugely popular member of our club. She came to us in the early 1990s and played with us until she was 92 when she became incapacitated. She won the club Pairs Championship one year playing with her pal the late Doreen Moore, another Clogher woman and character as well. They travelled to bowls tournaments in Killarney and Westport for years and brought great craic with them where ever they went. She worked for years in London with Arsenal FC and even though retired and living back in Clogher the club held her in such esteem that they invited her over when they were moving to the new ground at the Emirates. A deeply religious person Teresa was of a kind and gentle nature. In St Joseph`s our numbers are dwindling and we sadly miss you Teresa. Rest in peace. Joe Coyle, Chair/Sec St Joseph`s Bowls Club.
