Dear Brendan, Niall, Yvonne, Paul and Aidan, we were very saddened to hear about your dear Mum's passing, RIP - and sorry that it was after her Requiem Mass. I had the privilege of reconnecting with her last year in person and by phone. She was such a lovely lady with a great smile - and our late mother's bridge partner in our Castlebar days.

To Brendan, Niall, Yvonne, Paul and Aidan, I had promised your Mum that I would say hello when I returned to Ireland this summer. Today I was calling her to notify of my impending visit and was very much looking forward to seeing her. However, her phone number seems to have been disconnected and this how I discovered that your darling Mum had sadly passed away. I am truly shocked and saddened. She was such a wonderful lady with always a kind word and an always positive outlook; the last time we spoke a few months ago, she was feeling a little unwell and told me that my call boosted her spirits. I replied that talking with her also boosted mine! She chuckled at this. So lovely. I very much enjoyed keeping in touch with her over the years. She had a special place in my family's hearts, not least being Mum's favourite bridge partner. I wonder who is winning the latest bid now that they are no doubt on cahoots again. We wish we could have conveyed our sincerest condolences to you timely and in person on this very sad occasion. She will be missed. On behalf of all the (other!) O'Shea's, Dublin & USA.
