This lady was a Saint, and could not have fulfilled her role in life any better than the way she did. She minded us all in Meagher's shop, and the whole community loved her. The volume of respectful tributes on this page bear testament to her wonderful character. I'm so sorry Rose and family. We've lost a legend, and you've lost part of yourselves. May she now take up her rightful and deserved place in Heaven.

My condolences on the passing of Teresa, I have very fond memories of her bustling around the shop, always ready to find what I needed. Such a pleasant and kind lady, ar dheis Dé go raibh sí.

Sincere condolences to the Meagher and Black families on the death of Teresa. We all have fond memories of growing up going into Billy's for our sweets and the "messages". Teresa, humming away and firing vegetables into the brown paper bag at breakneck speed, only matched by Billy, both of them with a pencil over their ears for the totting up! What a pity the younger generation didn't experience this....there won't be many stories about self scanners! It's the end of an era. May she rest in peace.
