I was so saddened to hear the news of Tess' passing. We had enjoyed many chats and a cuppa over the last year and grew friendly, which was easy with such a warm and kindly character as herself. Rest in Peace lovely Tess.

We are so pleased that a chance meeting in Galway some years ago meant that we were able to link Tess in with Pearl Finnegan a treasured penpal from Tess's long hospital stay in Cappagh in Dublin in her teenage years.
Tess had kept a photograph of Pearl and all the letters for over sixty years
We had the privilege of being with them when they had their first face-to-face meeting in Carrick on Shannon.
This gave Tess so much joy as did the future meetings, phone calls and card exchange between the two of them.

May the lovely Tess rest in eternal peace
