Sincere condolences to Teresa and family on the Terry’s passing. Terry was a loyal and trusted friend of my late uncle Jim Daly (Glenanne Hockey Club). Having heard Terry’s name mentioned on almost a weekly basis, it was only at the time of Jim’s funeral that I got to meet Terry, and it was very clear very quickly why everyone held Terry in such high regard and had such great time for him.
— Anthony Brohan
Sincere condolences on the passing of Terry. He always had a great smile for everybody and was very quick to give advice on the football to me. His most common bit was to "Just stick it in the net". I'll miss it presence at the many GAA events I met him at. RIP
— Alan Brogan
Deepest sympathies to Teresa & all the family on Terry’s passing. So sorry myself and Maggie weren’t able to make his funeral.
I will always remember the good old days in McGrath & Co of a brilliant boss, who inspired us to be better and to think outside the box. Work was always laced with his wit and that infectious laugh. Terry affectionately laughed at us and with us over many a good pint in the Long Hall. He signed our famous petition with humour and devilment. Those legendary well briefed trips to the tax appeals armed with an array of excuses to beat the band. His memory of all things tax, the Dubs and the wider GAA made for lots of fond memories to treasure. One of a kind - a friend to many of us in McGraths in those great days in the 70's/ 80's. Rest in Peace Terry.

Dear Teresa

I was so sorry learn of Terry's death. My deepest sympathy to you and to your family.

Our paths converged in the 1980s when we worked and socialised closely together for a number of years. He truly was a remarkable man. He brightened up any company with his humour, anecdotes and insights. His bonhomie and relaxed disposition went hand in hand with a keen intellectual and emotional intelligence. I always appreciated his analysis and advice. I also had first hand knowledge of the help he gave to a number of charitable organisations. Unfortunately, our paths diverged due to work reasons and demands but it was always a joy (on the too few occasions when we did meet) to spend time in his company.

With deepest condolences

Don

I've known John for several years now here in the states, through Nandita, and his love and devotion are clear even from across the pond. I have fond memories working alongside Terry in Griffin Lynch in the 70s and McGrath & Co. in the 80s where a tax review of a file could be a precursor to a lively discussion on the Dublin footballers and why so many Refs were biased against them. A gentleman, scholar and a true “Dub” from cradle to grave. May He Rest in Peace. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dilish. Darach & Carmel Brennan
