We wish to express our deepest sympathy to Joan, Tadhg and Jane on the loss of a husband and a Dad. Terry was a skilled craftsman who passed on this skill to the students he taught. He also made the most amazing jewellery - we have a much treasured piece. Thank you Terry and rest in peace.

For the lessons he taught me, I will be forever grateful. A wonderful man. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I had the priviledge to know Terry from The Oratory. He often shared stories from his work as a teacher, and I hold good memories of our chats about art, faith and politics. Terry was a caring man.

Terry and Joan provided great comfort and company to our late father earlier this year, even when Terry was very unwell himself. So selfless and incredibly considerate to those around him. My deepest condolences to the McMullen family. Terry was a terrific teacher and a great mentor. Spending an inordinate amount of time in the shop with Terry was a highlight of my time in Belvedere. Skills I learned there are applicable today. Every Belvederian learned to hold a hammer and shape sheet copper--I still have a piece on the mantle to this day! He met students where they were and constantly encouraged learning and exploration. He wrote a letter of reference that got me to the USA, for which I was and am still most grateful. He was tremendously gifted both as an artist and teacher, and will be missed. May he rest in peace.--James Russell OB 1984

My deepest condolences to the McMullen family on Terry's passing. I had the good fortune and privilege to have been taught by Terry (fondly known as 'Tinhead') in the late '70s. Our 'double class' once a week to his basement workshop was a weekly highlight and a great escape from the books. Always in good form, engaging and passionate he instilled in us an appreciation of skills & techniques we'd never otherwise have experienced in Belvedere. He was a very fine teacher. May he rest in peace.

Terry was an amazing friend to our dad, John Brown, but especially over his last couple of years. It is hard to imagine that Peter Burke, dad and Terry were only lunching altogether only one year ago!
Terry was incredibly kind and supportive to dad. He would visit with stories of his adventures since he had last seen dad.
