To the Barry family I was saddened to read of the death of Tess in the Clare Champion As a teacher of Fergal I was always so happy to speak to her and long years afterwards She was a true lady.

A sad feeling of huge loss hangs over Shannon this weekend as news of the passing of Tess was heard. Sincere and deep sympathy to Fergal, Fintan, Norman and extended Barry & Golden families. Tess was Shannon's foremost citizen, with such drive and enthusiasm in everything she did to make our town a better place for everyone. We were priviliged and lucky to have this proud Kerry woman living amongst us! Rest well Tess - you truly were a good and faithful servant. God will certainly reward you!
