Our sincere sympathy to all the Kelleher Family’s on the sad passing of Tessie in her 108 year, having known Tessie for many many years she was always in great form combined with compassion and Witt, Sunday afternoons surrounded by her family & friends was better than any comidy show. To the Kelleher Family,
As the sadness and stillness of life without Mam’s physical presence takes its toll here on earth, may you all take comfort from her guiding light of hope, long life and happiness from her heavenly home above.
Before the break of dawn this a.m, it was nice to wake and think of Mrs Kelleher a picture of a woman cycling a bike came to mind as did the quote “Death is not extinguishing the light, it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come”. It was peaceful and while I personally did not know your Mam, I felt very touched from seeing her in the “news” and her mantra of never give up giving even greater resonation on hearing of her cycling a bike at aged 96.
Jim was always in the better for meeting her and you, her wonderful family there in Cullen. May God bless you Tessie and may you rest in peace, 4:36 am. 20.01.26.

It was with great sadness that we learned, that Tessie had passed. An absolute lady who had a kind word and greeting for everyone regardless of age or generation over the years. We all celebrated when she hit the 100 mark and when the good Lord continued to grant her continued good health we willed her on, on the journey to be Irelands oldest citizen. Alas it was not to be, but to get to number 3 was indeed an amazing achievement. On the day of her funeral we all thought she was number 4, but it has since emerged that one of the Ladies above her in the rankings had predeceased her by 12 days. She now ranks 63rd on the list of Irelands all time longest ever livers, which ensures her place in National History aside from the local scene. Deepest sympathy once again to her immediate and extended family.
