RIP Fergus. A legend. Well versed in the arts and always had a witty remark. I phoned him a few months ago when he was in the Mater Hospital. There were voices in the background and the reception wasn't the best, eventually Fergus said," I'll have to call you back. There's two women here agreeing with each other."

So sorry to read about Fergus’ death. He was always so lively and interesting. One of nature’s gentlemen. We at the Caledonian University looked forward to his annual visits to our Research Collections when he was in Glasgow for the Celtic Connections festival. May he rest in peace.
